Measuring the length of your snowplow RAM assembly is crucial for ensuring optimal performance. To determine the correct RAM length, measure the barrel from weld to weld. Full-size plows typically feature a 1 1/2" chrome rod diameter, while compact options such as HS and Homesteader boast a 1" diameter. For models like Xtreme V and XV2, the measurement focuses on the hidden piston size, generally 1 3/4" x 11 3/4".
